Electronic Delivery of Articles
Journal articles from the British Library are now delivered in electronic format directly to the your email address. This means that articles requested will usually be with you within two days of placing your order.
Such articles arrive in PDF format and must be downloaded within 14 days.
You can download and print your requested article only once, however it may be viewed in Adobe Reader for up to 14 days from the date of download.
To download and print your article you will need to have Adobe Reader v. 4 or above and the FileOpen plug-in installed.
Please contact the ISS Helpdesk if you do not have the right to download a file, or you have any technical problems.
Please note that journal articles may still be delivered in hard-copy, if the British Library does not have the journal in stock and we have to go to another Library.
