Special Collections & Archives Outreach

The Special Collections and Archives Service run a series of exhibitions throughout the year, usually featuring materials from the James Hardiman Library's Collections. We also act as a host site for exhibitions from other Irish libraries and archives, notably the National Library of Ireland.As part of our Outreach services, we have digitised some of our archival collections, with a view to widening access to these valuable resources: Staff in Special Collections and Archives are also available to participate in seminars and to speak to local historical groups, especially on topics relating to family and local history.
