Renewing Books
You can save yourself a lot of money by renewing your books before they are due, since you can incur heavy fines if you return them late. There are several options for renewal to choose from:
- Re-issue the books at the self-check machines
- Present your ID card at the Customer Services Desk (up to three renewals)
- By telephone: 091 493399 (up to three renewals)
- Email library@nuigalway.ie (up to three renewals)
- Online via the catalogue (up to three renewals)
When renewing online, there are several steps:
- Sign in to your Library account from the Library catalogue
- Click on loans
- Click on the number of the item for renewal
- Click renew
Since online renewals will not work on the day the item is due, make sure that you renew online the day before the due date.
Please note that you will not be able to renew books that have been requested by another Library user.
